The "Saturday Academy" is a cultural school open to high school, intermediate, and elementary level children and youth. The mission of the school is to empower students to make a successful transition from high school to the world of work and higher education through cultural education, tutoring in academics, and exposure to technology.

The school particularly focuses on African-American and Hispanic-American culture and history. Nonetheless—in accordance with the mission of the NAACP— it will be open to children of all backgrounds.

Classes promote high self-esteem for individual students, as well as awareness of and appreciation for African-American and Latin American cultures. The curriculum therefore focuses on the cultures and histories of Africa and Spain and her ex-colonies—the history of the Diaspora, the history of African and Hispanic Americans in the United States, and so forth.

The school also provides tutoring in regular school skills such as reading, writing and math, as well as classes to prepare for the SAT and PSAT exams. Finally, the school offers language classes teaching both English and Spanish to children, youth and parents.

Parents concurrently attend the Parent Forum that serves to empower parents to direct their scholars’ education within the school system.
